Album review

Chirs Brown
Exclusive
Label: Jive
November 6, 2007
Rating:4.5/5

This album creative by Chris Brown was creative and a big hit, thats on my Opinion. He makes sure to make his adiance love his music and himself. One great example of a big hit is "Kiss Kiss ft. t-pain." This is song is known country wide and made it to a number 1 hit. I like how Chirs Brown Chooses his words carefully and how he uses them in a song and thats what makes the song good. I also like it how Chris Brown Join with other artist to sing and they make a good take. No matter with who is the person he sings with, they both do a good job.

Required Listening

Stevie Wonder, “Superstition” (1972)
i think this song was a great song. I say that because i like the rhythm of the song and how he had this type of rhythm that went with the song. I also like it because it sounds like more of hip hop and rap then oldies.
Parliament/Funkadelic, “We Want the Funk” (1978)
This song is really interesting because it is one of them disco songs which occurred in the 70's. Also it has the words as if it was a hip-hop song.
Bob Marley & the Wailers, “Could You Be Loved” (1978)
This song i like it because it is more like calmed down song. This is something you would just be listening to. Also, Bob Marley is a person that likes to make reggae. A bad part about this song is that he does just a little slow in the beginning.

Literature circle blog response 2

Section A.
1.) The Handmaids Tale is an interesting book. Although, there are some parts that stikes me in the book. For example, there is this part that offred looks into a glass window and she sees ofglen's face with the reflection between them. When I read that i was thinking to myself, what is going to happen next. Also, there is another part where she is talking about how the government denied the women to be able to have work. The way how she explained her feelings was interesting to me because she explained it good.

Section B.
2.) Do you think the government is blocking the women from education and work because they are worried that women will have more power than men?

Section C.
1.) "'us?' I say. There is an us then, there's a we. I knew it." (pg.169) Said Margaret Atwood. I think this was an interesting quote because the character knew that she wasnt alone and that there were people that are the same as her but until that situation happend.

3/2 Personal Reflection (pride)

Once i had a friend that he had too much pride and he thought that everybody had respect for him. He always tried to bully people and he always thought that he was the boss out of our little group when we used to kick it at lunch. Also he thought he was a gangster but he would never fight with no one. If he said something and they were about to beat him up he would say, "im going get my uncles on you and they are from southeast". So me and my friend got pissed ofand f we told him "why do you always say that, why don't you just back yourself up and protect yourself" and he was like "fine what ever i don't care". So we told him "than i guess your not our friend no more!"
This reminds me of the Iliad because Achilles had too much pride and that made him a lost of things and a lost of friends. Also Achilles had an excuse to not fight because in my opinion i think he is a coward, as the same for my friend he was a coward he had an excuse for not fighting.

Disagreement and fights

A time when i had a fight with my friend about a disagreement was when me and my friend were playing soccer and i kicked the ball and it looked like if i made a goal but my friend was arguing that it wasn't a goal. I disagreed to what he said because i knew the ball didn't went over the backpacks but he was saying that it went over the backpack. We were arguing for a long time that i said "You know what I'm going to stop fighting because we don't know who is right or not so lets just not count it as no goal" and he said "alright then but you take out then".Now we play like good friends having fun. This reminds me of Achilles and Agamemnon because they fight for something that is not worth fighting and they are disagreeing a lot while at the end nobody is going to be right because there is no 1 tho prove that someone of them is right. This happens to almost everybody and it also happens in a lot of movies.
